If the player obtained the Insignificant Item from the chase scene in Chapter 2, a Shambler will trade it for the Ballpeen Hammer, useful for the Severance and Joke Endings (These two endings are possible to get without the Ballpeen Hammer but are substantially more difficult and time-consuming).
